Is collaborative team work important to you and your projects or business goals?

* Snoogies will be catering the evening snacks.
* Dreamtime backpackers is the venue and will offer cold beverages from their bar.
So what is Sociocracy?
In short…
Sociocracy is often defined as permaculture design for people.
A dynamic governance system that aims to create harmonious and productive workplace communications and meetings.
Based on the principals of transparency, efficiency and equality.
> It resembles nature’s sophisticated feedback loops and results in connection, trust and fulfilment between members of the group.<
“It is a meeting and decision making process that is designed in rounds and with the aim to harvest the wisdom of everyone present, drawing on insights and perspectives of the ‘whole’ group” says Tonielle Christensen
Why it is important for business:
It is an opportunity for each person to speak and be heard – it produces greater commitment, higher levels of creativity, distributed leadership, harmonious communication and increased productivity.
Groups and organisations the world over are discovering powerful means to achieve their visions/goals through this whole-systems approach.
In essence: It is a process and a practice of meeting with others to make decisions with compassionate communication in circular rounds. The process ensures that all useful information is gathered to gain real clarity and draws on the perspectives of the whole – to harvest insights, inputs and information that one person on their own may not be able to achieve.
What you will get:
+ Insight & practice to see & feel how this elegant framework can bring effectiveness & empowerment your group.
+ A blue print Mind Map process to conduct meetings’ to empower decision-making with clarity and purpose.
+ TIPS for implementing and practicing with colleagues.
+ Networking opportunity with local businesses who value progressive communication & collaboration.
+ Resources for further training.
Who its for:
> Small Business
> Start Ups
> Not-for-profit (for benefit) organisations
> Families
> Any group of people who gather for a purpose!
> Individuals interested in non-violent communication

I Thoroughly enjoyed the “Incredible Edibles” workshop
I Thoroughly enjoyed the “Incredible Edibles” workshop presented by Tonielle and Blake, … lots of great info and delicious food. I definitely recommend this workshop and if you can’t make it I suggest you jump on their website and buy their guide book, not easy to find guides for our tropical climate, and this one is a treasure.
– Jenny, President, Permaculture Cairns Inc (2016)
Thank you for such a great workshop!
Thank you for such a great workshop! I really enjoyed the food and drinks; they were abundant, original and charged with flavor. I was very impressed by the diversity of edible plants in your garden, and the different recipes there are to enjoy them. You helped me realize that it is possible to transform my small garden into an edible patch, and that food is a lot more than nutrients and taste!
– Mel Gomez

Loved the intro to permaculture course. Really enjoyed the way the OM crew presented the course. They made learning fun by doing lots of group activities and provided a supportive environment where people felt comfortable sharing ideas and experiences. Tonielle, Blake and Jay are very knowledgeable and passionate about permaculture and their enthusiasm is infectious. Great work guys.

It was a very inspiring day for me
It was a very inspiring day for me – before the rain set in I managed to get a range of greens, rhizomes and herbs packed in along a section of the school food garden that we call ‘the jungle’. We had recently chopped and dropped bananas, QLD arrowroot and sweet potato, so it was just waiting to be planted out. I’m looking at the garden with new eyes! Highly recommend the workshop”
– Juliana (teacher) Mt Molly school.
Thanks for the great day.
“Thanks for the great day at the incredible edible workshop. Definitely feeling inspired to use more of the abundant plants here at my fingertips. And to plant more and more”
