About your teachers

Tonielle Christensen, Blake Hudson and Jay Jackson are permaculture designers at Organic Motion, providing design services for abundant edible landscapes. They love to facilitate workshops in the far North Queensland region and feel that 'hands on' practical projects, experienced with a like-minded team, is the best way to learn. They are advocates for the Earthbag building technique and urban food producing, so naturally, they work to empower people to grow their own food and medicine. They are dedicated to  providing more accessible pathways to learning and practice permaculture, to effectively crEate abundance and regenerate the earth. 

Deposit and payments 
If a deposit is requested, it is to secure your place in the nominated workshop. To receive any offered discounts, the total amount must be paid by the stated date listed for each option. Once those dates pass, the deposit will be held for the full fee ticket. If it is a 'special' course offer, then the full amount is requested upfront.

Payment can be paid by credit card, direct deposit, cash and part Bartles (local energy trading LETS) and payment plans may be available if required. Please Contact us if you have any questions.

Invoices will be emailed and balance of payment is due 30 days prior to course start date. If the payment balance is not received by two weeks before the course start date, your booking will be cancelled and deposit forfeited. 

Cancellation and Refunds Policy
If you are unable to make this course, you are welcome to put it towards one of our future courses, or we encourage you to pass on your place to a nominated person, perhaps family or friend member so they can make the most of this opportunity. A refund, minus the deposit fee can be given back to you if you provide your cancellation in writing 30 days prior to the course start date. 

If cancellations occur after the 30 days time frame before the start course date, then a refund, minus deposit fee, may only occur if another paid participant (from the waiting list or elsewhere) fills your place.

Catering
Please bring a plate to share for lunch, particularly something wholesome as it is important to keep focused and energized during the course. We will provide light snacks for morning and afternoon tea, as well as some additions to the lunch table. Tea/coffee and water will be provided.
Please advise us of any dietary requirements you have in your registration form. 

Arriving and leaving times
Please arrive on Saturday morning at 8:30 am to have a ‘cuppa’ and be ready to begin at 9am. This is a 2-day intensive and we have a lot to do, learn and enjoy, so each day will begin at 9 am sharp and aim to finish at 5pm.

What to bring with you
  • Sturdy work boots to protect your digits
  • Water bottle. We have a refill station for top-ups.
  • Sun hat
  • Pen, paper and camera for taking notes
  • A plate to share for lunch
  • A hearty appetite for learning and doing
