Bruno Martin
Landscape Architect
In 2010, Bruno decided to travel to, and around Australia to continue his research.
Australia was the birthplace of Permaculture, and also represented a very unique, interesting country, with a vast diversity of landscapes and flora and fauna. He worked on a variety of Permaculture designed farms for a year, including a 4 week stint in Tasmania, on the property of none other than Bill Mollison, the co-founder of Permaculture.
Bruno chose to settle in Far North Queensland due to its vast beauty and diversity, where he met the Organic Motion team. They decided to collaborate and work together to combine their passion, knowledge and skills of Permacultue and Landscape Architecture. He completed Organic Motion’s in-depth and comprehensive Permaculture Design Course in 2017. Organic Motion produce effective, high yielding Permaculture Gardens while Bruno’s creative input further ensures a harmonious, aesthetically pleasing design. Rupert Faust
Environmental Engineer
As founder of Grounded Permaculture Action Party (Inc.) and Beanstalk Records, Rupert’s enthusiasm for growing music and food is highly contagious and his dedication to social change is second to none. Aside from all his music endeavours, Rupert graduated from UQ in 2009 with a Bachelor of Environmental Engineering and spent a number of years in the water and wastewater industry. Working for both the public and private sector on multi-million dollar projects he gained a breadth of experience in the planning, design, operation and construction of urban infrastructure. A high level conceptual holistic systems thinker, he quickly got bored developing patch work solutions for a dysfunctional system within the current paradigm, and his interest in plants, growing food, living off-grid and taking responsibility for his own existence inevitably led him down the path of permaculture.
In 2014 he moved back to his family property where he grew up to build the studio for Beanstalk Records and began researching ways to regenerate the 30 acre site whilst aligning with his families context. During 2015, Rupert dove deep into the world of permaculture. On sabbatical, he spent much time on different farms, and completed many courses including his Permaculture Design Course, with Geoff Lawton at the Permaculture Research Institute (PRI). This time gave him a profound insight into how to build a bridge between the alternative world of permaculture and the well established corporate world of urban infrastructure planning… he subsequently founded the Grounded concept. A self-confessed jack of all trades and master of his curiosity, he is as good with his hands as he is with his head. A specialist in high level conceptual planning, systems thinking and making things happen, Rupert is on the Organic Motion team as a project manager and engineer to facilitate efficient and effective planning, design and construction of your next project.
